Lead Server

Job Summary:

The Lead Server is responsible for overseeing the restaurant operations, ensuring a high standard of guest experience, and managing both front-of-house and basic kitchen operations. This role combines hands-on service, light food preparation, guest interaction, and supervisory duties. The position requires strong organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills, as well as the ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Set up, restock, and maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area.
  • Serve breakfast and beverages to guests, ensuring friendly and professional service.
  • Prepare simple food items and beverages.
  • Handle transactions using the POS system.
  • Supervise and support waitstaff and kitchen assistants during restaurant hours.
  • Manage guest reservations and oversee the flow of service.
  • Address guest requests and resolve complaints diplomatically.
  • Conduct daily inspections to ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Follow all alcohol service procedures
  • Assist with training and supervising front-of-house staff.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Coordinate with kitchen and event staff for special functions or banquets.
  • Perform inventory checks and ensure sufficient supplies for service.
  • Sanitize all cleaning tools and maintain equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Assist other departments as needed to ensure optimal guest service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to follow recipes and culinary procedures.
  • Familiarity with food handling, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to function well in a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
  • Proficiency with POS and scheduling systems.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to work long hours, irregular shifts, weekends, and holidays.

 Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous Food and Beverage service experience preferred
  • Experience in guest-facing roles and basic food preparation.


Physical Requirements:

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods
  • Able to climb stairs
  • Able to walk kitchen and service public areas
  • Able to twist, bend, reach and pull
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
